Too often, society expects women in poverty to overcome systemic barriers alone. Flourish refuses to let them do this without support. We see their wisdom. We listen to their stories. And together, we build something new — a community where every woman has the tools, support, and strength to flourish.

Poverty is more than a lack of money — it’s chronic stress, silent trauma, and a constant battle to survive without support. For many women in Forsyth County, financial hardship comes hand in hand with emotional exhaustion and isolation. Flourish was born to change that. Flourish is a one-year financial education and holistic wellness program for women aged 18–65 living with low income. But it’s so much more than classes and workshops. It’s a movement toward dignity, healing, and hope.

Every week, women gather to learn financial literacy, receive support for mental health, and set career goals — all while building deep, diverse relationships in a judgment-free community. We connect participants with healthcare, job opportunities, and mental wellness resources. And we do it through compassion, cultural humility, and a belief in their power to create change in their own lives.
