Help Us Give Thanks for Our Community This Holiday Season
As we have for many years, The Shalom Project will once again provide Thanksgiving boxes for community members in need. In past years, we’ve distributed about 125 boxes, and we are already seeing a sharp increase in requests this year. Rising grocery costs and uncertainty around programs like SNAP mean that many of our neighbors will be stretched thin this holiday season.
We are calling on you to once again help us embody the true spirit of Thanksgiving. A gift of $50 will provide a Thanksgiving box for a family in our community. Among the items in the box are a pie donated by our generous friends at St. Paul’s Church, a message from us expressing gratitude to those we are honored to serve, a blank note for recipients to share their own message of thanks with someone they care about, and a special opportunity for each recipient to celebrate this holiday in their own individual way.
